Many couples choose to be married on a beach, at a farm, in a courthouse, or at another place that holds special meaning for them. For us, that place is the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier—not simply because of its beauty, but because it is our spiritual home.

The Basilica is much more than a venue we visit only for life’s significant moments—baptisms, First Communions, weddings, and funerals. It is where we attend Mass together on Sundays, where we volunteer, and where we continue to grow in our faith as a couple. It has also been a meaningful part of Nick’s life for many years, including the seven years he served as its Director of Sacred Liturgy.

We are choosing to be married at the Basilica because it is part of who we are and the life we are building together. Before the altar where we regularly worship, surrounded by our family, friends, and parish community, we will receive the Sacrament of Matrimony and begin our married life with Christ at its center.
